A few weeks ago, our Brothers-in-Law, Bryan and Chris were talking about Feety Pajamas. They were telling us all how they missed them and they wished that there were feety pajamas for BIG kids... So, I found them some for Christmas. Chris's fit him real well, but Bryan being 6'6" made it a little harder for me to get him the right size. I bought the largest jammies I could find, but they were still a little too short. He managed to get them on though! =) We all died laughing when they put them on and danced around the family room.

FUN FUN FUN!
Maggie gave Jake this awesome Driver... It is huge! Jake kept whacking people in the head with it... What a silly boy!
Mike and Charon gave Jake a button to put in his truck. When you are driving, instead of getting road rage, just hit the button and some redneck guy says all sorts of driving profanities. It's quite comical! They gave me a button that calls out people's B.S. in many different ways when you push it. HMMM... I wonder if that's because I never take any one's B.S. Ha Ha! =)
Jake looking at his button.
Jake listening to his button. =)
This is Melissa's Husband, Chris. He was pulling all of the stuff out of his sock that Maggie gave him. Mike and Charon gave Miss brass knuckles to keep Chris in line... He shouldn't worry... They were on a key chain and really tiny! =)
Maggie gave Charon, Jake's mom, a set of really long eyelashes. She stole Maggie's cup and I caught her striking a pose! =)
Mike and Charon gave Bryan a Barbie... Kind of an inside joke. =)
Mike was being so Silly! =)
Well I have no pictures of me and Miss, Dang it. We were too busy snapping pictures I guess. =)
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! We go to Jake's Grandma Maggie's house on Christmas Eve and it is always such a blast! Jake gave me an IPhone for Christmas so I snapped some pictures with it. I have to say that the camera on this thing is amazing! =)

We always do the "gag" gifts first. This is Maggie opening the gift that Bryan and Chera gave her.

I think in this one, she's trying to figure out what it is.

In this one, she knows exactly what it is, and is showing it off. We all think she is such a great grandma! I mean... how many grandma's can you give something like this to? =)

Now she's finding the gifts from her... She definitely went over board AGAIN this year!

Alyssia's hard work and dedication really paid off for her this year in 4-H! Monday night was the 4-H award night and Alyssia came out on top of the world! She won High Point Show, High Point Speed (which is a major accomplishment since she was riding the albino rhino, Venus), and High Point All Around for her age group. She also won the High Point All Around traveling trophy. She beat out every kid in the Davis County 4-H horse program for the trophy, even the older kids! I believe her and I are the only two that have won that trophy that have been in the same family. It's so cool to see all of the names on there from the past winners! Mine is still on there from 1999. Wow that was a long time ago! =) I just wanted everyone to know how proud of Alyssia I am. She worked so hard and did an awesome job!

Mucky Oakley
Mucky (Mikayla) has been staying with my parents this week. My mom and dad went to Nevada last weekend and Muck wanted to stay with her grandma for a while. Since my parents have to go out there this weekend again to pick up a horse, Lex decided it would be ok to let his baby girl stay with her grandma for a week. It's hard for him to be without Muck. She is just the cutest thing and can make light out of any situation. She is definitely a "ham"! She is always making us laugh and can brighten any one's day with a single smile.
I picked Mucky up from my parents' house yesterday to take her to get a surprise. The girls have been riding a lot out on the ranch and the saddle they have just isn't cut out for that type of use. As Muck would say, "It's not comfy!" I found a 13" Barrel Saddle and decided to go take a look. Muck sat in it and wiggled around and pretended she was on Reno riding up in to the mountains. I asked if she thought she could ride all day in it and she said yes, I agreed and thought it was a pretty good deal so we took it home with us. I also took her to Dallas Greens to take a look around. We ended up getting rubber band guns to play with, Muck got a John Deer Beanie, and fake John Deer cell phone and keys. I kept telling her that she was spoiled. She didn't like it until I explained my way of looking at being spoiled. I told her that it's ok to be spoiled as long as you aren't a spoiled brat or spoiled rotten. She liked that idea! =) In no way has she ever been a brat, or rotten, so I think she'll follow that rule pretty well. I love that little girl so very much!
I snapped a few pictures of Muck messing around with the toys we got. I wanted to put the saddle on Venus when we got back to my parents' house, but it was getting late, and I needed to find cinches for it. My mom was going to get it all fixed up for her today so she could try it out though. I told her to take a couple pictures of her riding, so when I get them I can post them. I think she was trying to be Annie Oakley or someone like that, so I kept calling her Mucky Oakley. =) We had a blast!

Oh So Handsome!
After my extremely long post, I thought I should post a picture or two. This is Jake in the suit jacket he wore at the wedding. He was trying it on at Matt and Amber's house, so I snapped a couple pictures. As soon as I get the pictures from the wedding I will post some of him fully clothed! =) It's not every day you see him in a suit! Last time he dressed up was at our wedding! Oh so HANDSOME!

If you look closely at his right hand, you can see his finger, all wrapped up.

Guess How Many Fingers I have
This past weekend was probably one of the worst weekends I have had in a long time. I received a phone call on Friday from Jake. He asked me what I was doing and I replied with, just eating lunch, what are you doing. He said, "well, I just cut my finger off." WHAT!!! OMG!!! He was working with a trailer at work and his glove got stuck in part of the Jack. It sliced his Pointer finger off right under the fingernail and down below the knuckle closest to his fingernail, (about an inch). It broke the bone and left only the fingernail and a little bit of the top of his finger. I freaked! He told me that he was fine and was in a hospital in Salt Lake. He wouldn't tell me which one though. He didn't want me driving down there all upset... So I left work and went home to wait... and wait... and wait... Finally Jake called me again. He said he was fine. The doctor looked at the piece of finger that Jake had in a cup of ice and threw it away. Jake said, "hey you S.O.B. I've been growing that for 25 years and you just throw it away?" =) Even in time of pain, he still has humor! The doctor wrapped his finger up and sent Jake on his way with some meds, (which didn't seem to help ease the pain), and scheduled him for surgery that next Monday (yesterday). I picked Jake up at his work and we headed down to Sandy for an open house for Jake's little sister Melissa. She got married this weekend. Jake toughed it out, even though everyone was telling him he should be home resting.
We went to the Salt Lake Temple on Saturday morning for Melissa and Chris's shindig. We had pictures taken then headed to The Garden for lunch. Jake forgot his pills in the truck so we had to go grab them. The truck was clear up by the capital building so we had Brian take us to get it. After we parked I started walking and Jake paid for the space. He came to find me and realized he left his wallet by the pay box. We ran back there to find that it was gone. He had quite a bit of money in there to give to Melissa and Chris, which made me ill to think we just lost it. Jake looked over at a group crossing the road and there was a guy counting money. Jake yelled at him asking if he found that wallet. The guy said yes and brought it back over to us. Another minute or so, and that guy would have been headed for Wendover or something. =) We gave him $40 for his honesty, and went back to The Garden. Lunch was pretty good. I'm on a diet so I could only eat the roast turkey and veggies, but it wasn't too bad. We left and headed back to the truck. When we got there, Jake realized he had lost his keys. GREAT! Here we go again... Poor Jake! He should have stayed home, but we wouldn't have missed that wedding! Jake retraced his steps and found his keys under the table at The Garden. Wheeeew! Barely lucky again!
The reception Saturday night was AMAZING. It was in Jake's Mom and Dad's backyard. The ponds were all lit up with lights and everything! It was a good time! Jake was tired, but he seemed to manage ok. He even danced with me once. =) They had pineapple delight (just like what is served in Hawaii at the Cultural Center) Cut a pineapple in half, hollow it out and put orange sherbet, pineapple chunks, and fruit cocktail on top, with a cherry and umbrella. It looked yummy, but I could only eat the fruit. (I had a little ice cream too, but not much. Hey, what could I do? I was trying to get to the fruit!)
Sunday wasn't very fun for Jake. He was tired and his finger (or lack of) Hurt like crazy! Every time he'd try to move his arm, he would feel the broken bone poke through the scab that was starting to form. OUCH!!! Poor guy! I felt so bad! My brother was coming to get our old truck and fishing boat to park it at his house so Jake and I decided to have them stay for dinner. Matt, Amber and Berlyn came too. It was fun! We had Steak, Salad, Corn, Rice, and Rolls, (Matt and I of course could only have the steak and salad). Jake's last meal before surgery. MMMMM! We put in a hunting dvd for the boys and the girls just hung out and talked. It was a good time!
Monday, again, wasn't very fun for Jake. We were in Salt Lake for his surgery at 10:15. They took him right back. He was under for and hour and a half. The doctor came to talk to me as Jake was waking up. He told me that everything went well and Jake was fine. The only problem they had was that Jake took a swing at the anesthesiologist. Good thing he didn't connect, he probably would have killed the little guy! They took a skin graft from his arm and reconstructed his finger. They shaved the bone and then wrapped a flap of skin from his middle finger around his pointer finger. His fingers will be together for 3 weeks to try to regrow the skin, and make his finger usable again. When they cut them apart in 3 weeks, everything should be fine. HOPEFULLY!!!

Happy Birthday to me!
So today is my 25th birthday. Yes, I was spoiled... again! =) I have the best husband in the world! He went to Tai Pan all by himself on Monday. He didn't want me picking out my own birthday present, but he knew I wanted to finish our office at home. He bought me the coolest things!
The plant on the top, and the two plants on the 2nd shelf.
Beautiful! We're going to the park to play volleyball with Jake's family tonight after hanging out with my family for a while. I'm pretty sure there will be an ice cream cake there... YUMMMY! We've got a golf tournament on Saturday, and we're going to take the boat out on Sunday with Matt, Amber and Berlyn for a little birthday celebration. Jake has been working so much lately! He really needs a break! It will be good for him to get out and do the things he enjoys. I'll get to spend the whole weekend with him and I'm definitely not complaining! He is all I need! =) I am so lucky to have Jake in my life! I love him so much!

Home Sweet Home Office

I drove up Gentile on Saturday to get something to eat and I passed a yard sale. I make fun of my mom and Sarah for going to yard sales, so I was a little hesitant to stop, but a desk caught my eye so I had to. It is an executive double side desk. I've been looking for furniture to make a home office since we moved in, but was going to have to pay an arm and a leg for what I wanted. This desk is in great condition! A couple little scratches here and there, but nothing that a little Old English couldn't handle. I got a killer deal on it too! I was extremely excited! Amber and her Mom and Sister helped me carry it in the house on Saturday (thanks girls!) and Jake helped me set everything up on Sunday. Jake went shopping with me (I know, shopping again for Jake. What a guy!). We got a chair, desk clock, radio, lamp, picture frames and a few plants to almost complete the room. Now all I need are some pictures. I'll go to Tai Pan here in the next couple days to see what I can find. Our house is finally starting to feel like home sweet home! WOO HOO! =)

And Then!
More about the wedding!
The lineup!
Brandon carried Shawn's ring... Gun! (He'd never wear a ring, so Sarah got him a shotgun!)
All the boys! No... Blowby, Justin and Lex are not on their knees. Jake is just quite a bit taller than all of them. Ha ha! Camren and Brandon are in front.
Camren held his mom's ring on the pillow. He did such a great job!
All us girls! Left to right Me, Denise, Lindsay and Steph. Kendra and Mikayla are in front.
Isn't my brother handsome? =)
The Flip
Shawn and baby Cooper. He's got Shawn's eyes, you just can't tell cuz Shawn is squinting! lol!
Sneak a Peek! What a picture!I wanted to post a few more pictures. They're priceless. There were 3 people taking pictures throughout the whole thing. These are pictures that my uncle Bob took. He sure knows how to capture the moment! =)

WENDOVER
So I took Sarah, my soon to be sister-in-law, to Wendover this weekend for her bachelorette party. We stayed in the Sierra Suite at the Peppermill. We had a BLAST! There were 14 of us. Sarah had to do a bunch of Bachelorette dares to earn a $20 gift card to the Layton Hills Mall. The dares included kissing a bald man on the head, walking in to the men's restroom, and asking a divorced man what she shouldn't do in bed to prevent a divorce. That's only some of them, there were a lot more that I probably shouldn't mention. Use your imagination! =) We also played the "f" game. Each girl received a strand of mardi gras beads and if they said the "f" word, they had to give their beads to the person that heard them. The girl with the most beads by 1:00 a.m. received a $20 gift card to the Layton Hills Mall. Mindy won that one! We also played a dare game with all of the girls. They came to me for a dare card, and when they finished that dare they had to return the card to me to pass it off. The girl with the most dares by 1:00 a.m. wins the game. The dares included stuff like, get a guy to give you his pants, pucker up and kiss a stud, and use the men's restroom. Again, use your imagination on the rest of them! =) Amy, my cousin, won a $20 gift card from the Layton Hills Mall for winning that game. She had over 9 dares. 2nd place only had 5 dares. Amy also broke the "snort" record. Sarah is a major snorter when she laughs! You can judge how funny you are by how many snorts you get out of her. The current record holder was Jake with 4 snorts. Amy doubled that record by making her snort 8 times in a row! She kept snorting every couple of seconds after the 8 consecutive snorts! I think it was over 20 snorts when everything was said and done. =) I don't think this snort record will ever be broken! If it is, then the person that breaks it is one funny sob! =) All Amy did was try to get something out of the trunk through the little hole in the back seat of my car. She had her head and arms in, then her leg in, grunting and struggling the whole time. She finally succeeded right when we pulled in to the flying J in Tooele. All that work and we were making a pit stop anyway!
We could have just opened the trunk from the outside, but nooooo! That just wasn't going to be funny enough! haha =) Sarah said that this was the BEST BACHELORETTE PARTY EVER! I have to agree! It was a great time! I am so glad that Amy came with us. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have had the time that we did without her there! I heart her so so so many! =)
